Juventus plot move for struggling Spurs forward Lamela

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is interested in acquiring Erik Lamela to boost the side’s front-line.

The Turin outfit are known to be weighing up a bid in the region of £25 million for Lamela, however will have their work cut out as Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to be interested in keeping the Argentine at White Heart Lane.

According to the Daily Mail, Juventus wants a creative player to play behind their strikers and has identified the 23-year-old as a player who could fit the no.10 role.

The former Roma player was signed with part of the proceeds from Gareth Bale’s sale back in 2013, however he has only shown flashes of his ability during the last two seasons.

Lamela made 46 appearances for Spurs in all competitions last season, scoring five goals and providing 10 assists as Spurs finished in fifth in the Premier League.
