Julian DraxlerJuventus director general Giuseppe Marotta has cancelled his visit to Germany as Schalke have rejected a bid for their star winger, Julian Draxler.

The 21-year-old has been targeted by [Bianconeri coach] Massimiliano Allegri as he looks to add creativity to his squad following the departure of Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo.

The Bundesliga side confirmed via their personal Twitter that they have turned down an offer from the Italian champions for the German international whom they value at €30 million.

However, SportMediaset have reported that although Juve’s initial offer of €15.5 million plus performance-related bonuses is well short of the Bundesliga club’s demands, the deal is not dead.

The Old Lady are expected to prepare a new offer that could allow Draxler to join the club on loan for 2015-16, before making a permanent switch to Turin the following season.

Draxler has scored seventeen goals in 107 appearances for Die Knappen since making his debut in 2011 at the age of seventeen.
