Ajax star and Juventus target Davy Klaassen is not interested in leaving the Dutch giants this summer, the player’s agent has insisted.

The 22-year-old Dutch international has just been given the captaincy for the upcoming season after establishing himself as a key part of Frank de Boer’s outfit in the last few campaigns.

Reports this week suggested that Juventus have identified Klaassen as an alternative to Schalke star Julian Draxler, whose deal to the Bianconeri seems dead in the water.

An €8.5 million deal has been mooted, but Soren Lerby – the player’s agent – told Tuttomercatoweb that his client will not be leaving the Eredivisie for the time being.

“There is no doubt he will remain at Ajax. There are no ongoing negotiations because Davy is happy to wear this shirt and there is no possibility he’ll leave Ajax in the summer,” Lerby said.

Klaassen netted eight goals in 44 appearances for Ajax last season.
