Juventus are reportedly interested in securing the signature of Fluminense star Gerson during the summer transfer window.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has been attracting the interest of Europe’s elite clubs following impressive performances for the Brazilian U20s at the 2015 South American Youth Football Championships.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus will try to complete the move during the current window, as Barcelona have first option for the player but are unable to secure a deal before January, due to the transfer restrictions imposed on them by FIFA.

If a deal can be concluded, Gerson is expected to return to Fluminense on loan to continue his development. A fee in the region of €16 million is expected to be lodged before negotiations begin.
