Juventus will have their Curva Sud at the Juventus stadium closed for the opening game of the season.

The ban results from the crowd derby at last season’s Turin derby at the Stadio Olimpico, where Juve fans threw flares at Torino fans.

As revealed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus will serve the ban on the opening day against Udinese.

The original ban was two matches but it has been reduced to one game by the Court of Sporting Appeal, which is run by the FIGC.

The court is also considering reducing Juve’s fine for the incident from €50,000 to €30,000.

The decision is not, however, final as Juventus have announced they will appeal the ban again.

Juventus have blamed poor policing and stadium conditions for the trouble during the game.
