Lazio striker Miroslav Klose insisted that the Biancocelesti have to do better after they lost 3-0 to Mainz 05 in a pre-season friendly.
The veteran reiterated the need for good preparation ahead of the capital club’s meeting against Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana on August 8 in Shanghai.
“I am happy to be back here [in Germany], this is my home but I am convinced that we have to do better,” said Klose to Lazio Style Radio.
“I’m sorry for the defeat, we should have done more but we will continue to work.
“Above all, we have to prepare in these coming days for the challenge against Juve.
“We have to go there and get used to the climate in Shanghai, find the right rhythm and aim to get the best possible result in that game.
“We had lots of chances today, the important thing now is to improve.
“We have to learn how to exploit the chances that we create better.”
