Italian side Lazio could bring Mario Balotelli back to Serie A after agreeing a deal to sign the striker.

The Liverpool forward has previously played for both Milan clubs and could be on his way back to Italy after a disappointing spell at Anfield.

According to La Repubblica, Lazio have agreed to take Balotelli on an initial loan deal.

Lazio will pay €2 million for the loan deal and then have the option of buying Balotelli for an extra €18 million at the end of the season.

That would mean Liverpool get their money back on the €20 million they spent to buy Balotelli last summer from AC Milan.

Liverpool would, however, pay 70% of Balotelli’s contract at Lazio which will expire in 2018.

What they mean is that they will take Mario for almost nothing. He will play for them and we will pay them for this privilege and at the end of the season they will say they are not interested and not going to buy him. There will probably be a clause in any agreement that he must play so many games. They will NOT play him in the amount of games agreed ( we have been bitten by this before!)and he remains a drain on our salary bill without us getting any benefit. Will they never learn???
