Serie A side Lazio have expressed an interest in bringing Dutch ace Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to the Stadio Olimpico.
The 32-year-old striker is currently playing in Germany for Schalke and may be keen on a new adventure in Italy with the Biancocelesti.
According to Il Corriere della Sera, the former Ajax star is contracted till 2017 and would still command a transfer fee should the Bundesliga outfit be convinced to sell.
The Italians are looking to strengthen their front line, as coach Stefano Pioli is still reliant on the 37-year-old Miroslav Klose and the experienced Huntelaar would be the perfect addition to their Champions League squad.
The Netherlands international has already had a spell in Italy back in 2009 where he played 25 times for AC Milan. However, his career at the Stadio Meazza was short-lived and Huntelaar was sold to Schalke after just one season.
