Leicester City are reportedly looking to land Atalanta defender Yohan Benalouane in the coming weeks.

The 28-year-old, whose current contract with the Orobici is set to expire in June 2019, has been steadily linked with a possible move to several clubs as of late, including Udinese and Lille, though it seems like the Premier League side have already gained the advantage in the fight to secure his services.

According to AlfredoPedulla.com, Leicester City have already been in contact with Atalanta and are thought to be preparing a serious offer for the defender at the moment, as Foxes coach Claudio Ranieri is apparently very interested in adding the Tunisian centre back to his line up.

Benalouane, who first joined La Dea from Parma on loan in January 2014 before making things permanent in June 2014, managed to score one goal in his 27 Serie A appearances last term, helping his team barely escape from relegation with a 17th place finish.
