Roma are still negotiating with Manchester City for striker Edin Dzeko with City’s asking price continuing to cause problems as the deal struggles to reach its conclusion.

The Giallorossi have been active over the summer as they look to improve upon the 2014-15 season’s second placed finished although they have struggled to finalise deals with Iago Falque the most notable addition.

According to Sky Sport Italia, I Lupi already have an agreement in place with the Bosnian concerning wages and other personal terms but progress with the Citizens is slow on account of their high asking price.

Roma have also tried to move on unwanted players without success so far with moves for Gervinho and Mattia Destro falling through.

Dzeko experienced limited first team football during the 2014-15 season, making only 11 league starts for City with only four goals scored.

The striker moved to Manchester in 2011 from German side Wolfsburg.

Dzeko has rarely featured for City on their pre-season tour due to the uncertainty surrounding his future although he made a substitute appearance against Real Madrid.
