Roma look to have reached an agreement with Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, but with a deal yet to be struck with the Premier League club.

Although Dzeko’s agent had expressed his client did not wish to leave Manchester, and it looked as if Roma’s pursuit had cooled after the Bosnian’s personal demands, the Giallorossi seem to have come out positively after the latest bout of negotiations.

Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini would have offered Dzeko a four-year deal worth €4.5 million per season. The Italian media added that Sabatini would now look to fund a €30 million bid for the striker by offloading Gervinho, Doumbia and Mattia Destro.

Dzeko made 22 league appearances for Manchester City last season, including six in the Champions League, and scoring four goals over both those competitions.
