Manchester City’s Stevan Jovetic could make a shock return to Fiorentina just two years after leaving the club, as the player looks for a way out of his nightmare in England.
Jovetic spent five years with Fiorentina, quickly becoming a fan favourite, before his departure in the summer of 2013 to English Premier League side Manchester City where he has endured ongoing injury problems and a lack of playing time, leaving the striker desperate to escape the Citizens this summer.
Florence-based Lady Radio reports that Jovetic’s agent Fali Ramadani, who holds close connections with the club, has approached the Gigliati proposing a move for their former player.
The report further states that Ramadani is pressing the club to make a move on the basis of loan, with the rights to make the deal permanent for €12 million.
However, a possible deal may revolve around City’s willingness to sell, should they also part ways with striker Edin Dzeko who is supposedly close to a move to Roma.
Jovetic played 134 games for Fiorentina, registering 40 goals and 24 assists.
Don’t be so stupid! A loan and 12m euros my arse! £20m at least!
Great deal!
