Manchester City would be looking to challenge Barcelona, over the signature of Juventus’ Paul Pogba, with a mega bid.

Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has already confirmed an €80 million bid for Pogba from Barcelona. Reports have also suggested a gentleman’s agreement between both clubs for the transfer of the player in 2016.

These reports have not deterred Manchester City however, with the Premier League club preparing to lodge a colossal €100 million bid for the capture of the 22-year-old Frenchman, according to the Mirror.

Although Barcelona sporting director Ariedo Braida confirmed that Barcelona’s Pogba bid had been rejected, the Blaugrana intend to continue their pursuit of the Juventus ace. Pogba, himself, recently dismissed reports linking him with a move to Barcelona in a long interview for Soccer360.

Pogba made 40 appearances in all competitions for Juventus last season, scoring 10 goals and helping the Bianconeri to a domestic double and the Champions League final.

For €100m we have to sell. That could get us Isco, Darmian and Cuadrado.
