New Inter recruit Martin Montoya shared his first words as a Nerazzurri player, expressing his ambition for the coming season.

The Spanish fullback joined Inter on a loan initially, but with the club retaining the option of making the transfer permanent in the future.

The 24-year-old defender spoke to the club’s official channel, sharing his motivation to succeed with his new teammates and coach.

“I am coming to a club that has great desire and ambition,” Montoya said to Inter Channel.

“I want to do something big here, win the Scudetto and bring the club back to the Champions League.

“Playing is the most important thing to me and it was [Inter coach Roberto] Mancini and [Inter assistant coach] Sylvinho who convinced me to be part of this project.

“[Mauro] Icardi is a player who has improved a lot; I played with him in the Under-18 when at Barcelona.

“I thank the fans and for their future support, and I hope to win many titles here.”
