Napoli v InterNapoli striker Gonzalo Higuain has been linked with a move to the English Premier League with Manchester City.

Manuel Pellegrini has identified the 27-year-old Argentine forward as the man to fire The Citizens back to the top of the domestic table and improve City’s Champions League form.

TuttoMercatoWeb are reporting City will launch a €60 million bid for the former Real Madrid player in the coming days, with any deal set to be financed by the sales of Stevan Jovetic to Inter and Edin Dzeko to Roma.

City’s Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly also eager to acquire the forwards services while Atletico Madrid are also monitoring the situation.

Higuain scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in his 37  appearances last term.
