Napoli close in on Udinese midfielder

allan udineseNapoli are looking to bolster their squad this season with the potential signing of Allan.

The Brazilian midfielder has made over 102 appearances for the Zebrette since his arrival in 2012 and is a major target for the new Azzurri coach Maurizio Sarri.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Napoli’s newly-appointed sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo held a meeting in London to discuss the possible transfer of midfielder Allan.

Udinese currently value the player at €20 million but Napoli presented a more teasing offer of €12m with the midfielder Gokhan Inler and defender Miguel Britos included as makeweights.

The Friulian club has not yet responded and much will depend on the responses of Britos and Inler in relation to a possible move.

If the two players were to agree, it is expected that they would be move to newly promoted English outfit Watford, which is also owned by the Pozzo family.

Allan made 35 appearances and scored one goal for the Zebrette over the course of the 2014-15 season.
