Diego Perotti GenoaNapoli have identified Genoa’s Diego Perotti as their main target should forward Jose Callejon depart this summer.

Callejon, who only joined the club in 2013, is being increasingly linked with a move away as part of a summer overhaul, with Premier League sides Chelsea and Liverpool waiting in the wings.

Reports from Sky Sport Italia suggest Napoli have already taken a pre-emptive step towards snatching an immediate replacement, targeting Genoa winger Perotti.

Napoli were after Perotti earlier in the year but failed to agree a deal with Genoa, however, new coach Maurizio Sarri is reported to be an admirer of the player and is eager to sign the winger should Callejon leave the club.

The report also suggests that the Grifone will give Napoli first choice for the former Sevilla man, ahead of league rivals Inter who are also interested in Perotti.

Perotti scored four goals and created five assists in 27 appearances last season in Serie A.
