Napoli are close to completing deals for Empoli full-back Elseid Hysaj and Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Vlad Chiriches.
The Versuviani have been tracking Albanian defender Hysaj throughout the summer and have also jumped ahead of Serie A rivals Fiorentina in the race for Romanian international Chiriches over recent days.
According to Tuttosport, an agreement was reached on Tuesday afternoon for Hysaj, which will see Napoli pay an initial €5 million plus bonuses to secure the 21-year-old’s services until 2020.
Another transfer in the works is related to Spurs’ 25-year-old central defender Chiriches, who will cost just over €4 million, with further bonuses on top.
Partenopei sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has proposed two options to the player’s representatives – either a four-year contract worth up to €1.7 million per season, or a three-year deal coupled with an automatic extension for the following two seasons at the end of that initial term.
Confirmation of the former Steaua Bucharest star’s arrival is expected shortly, with the routine medical tests already underway ahead of the move.
