Sime Vrsaljko SassuoloNapoli are still yet to complete the signing of Sassuolo defender Sime Vrsaljko as the two parties are unable to agree on a transfer fee.

The Partenopei have tracked the Croatian international throughout the summer, but talks continue to labour, as the two Serie A sides attempt to thrash out the finer details.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, there is likely to be a decisive update on the situation in the near future, as Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli does his utmost to finally push through a transfer.

Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport have suggested the offer from the Versuviani comprises of €9 million, plus midfielder Omar El Kaddouri, who spent the last two campaigns on loan at Torino.

The newspaper also understands that the stalemate in talks has been caused by Sassuolo’s insistence upon an extra €1 million as part of the package.

Vrsaljko impressed during 22 appearances last term, while the Zadar-born defender showcased his versatility by operating in both full-back positions, as well as in a right-sided midfield role.
