AC Milan new-boy Luiz Adriano is eager to create history at his new club.

The Brazilian signed for the Rossoneri from Shakhtar Donetsk earlier this summer, where he had spent the previous eight years, though the 28-year-old dismissed concerns that the number nine shirt, which he will wear at Milan, will put him under any pressure.

“I do not fear the damned number nine,” Luiz Adriano told La Gazzetta dello Sport..

“I do not care about the luck of this shirt.

“I want to become a part of this club’s history and to achieve more with Brazil.”

Despite the arrival of Luiz Adriano and Carlos Bacca already this transfer window, the San Siro club have been heavily linked with a move to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to the club from French champions Paris Saint-Germain, and the Brazilian is open to seeing the Swede return.

“If Ibra comes back then we will fit him into the side.”

Luiz Adriano and his new Milan teammates will kick off their season with a trip to the Stadio Artemio Franchi to face Fiorentina.
