AC Milan will have to wait for a resolution to their proposals for a new stadium as a final decision has been delayed.

The Rossoneri have submitted plans for a new 48,000 capacity stadium in the Portello area in the north of the city, and Fondazione Fiera were due to announce if they had accepted the bid to develop the new arena on their site.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, a rival proposal from the Vitali group is considered equal to that of AC Milan’s, meaning that the landowners will now take more time to decide which project is most worthy.

Should the decision go against the Diavolo, the club have already identified alternative locations.

The Rossoneri are seeking to move away from the Giuseppe Meazza, leaving rivals Inter to redevelop the iconic stadium.
