AC Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino has reportedly expressed his interest to remain at the Stadio Meazza outfit for the 2015-16 campaign.

The 30-year-old, whose current contract with the Rossoneri is set to expire in June 2016, has been passed around to a few clubs on loan in recent seasons, having spent last term on loan with the now dissolved Parma, though it seems like he may be willing to stay in Milan despite a lack of space in the team.

According to Gazzetta TV, the Italian has asked the AC Milan executives if he could remain with the Diavolo for the upcoming season even though he would have to compete for a place in the midfield with the likes of new signings Andrea Bertolacci and Jose Mauri.

Reports also suggest that midfielder was linked with a possible move to Atalanta, but negotiations fell through before anything materialised.

Nocerino scored three goals and provided one assist in his 25 Serie A appearances last term.
