Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is currently in London attempting to tie up a deal for Arsenal forward Joel Campbell.

The Sicilian outfit are looking to bring in a replacement for Argentine Paulo Dybala, who recently joined Serie A champions Juventus, and are working hard to lure the Gunners’ Costa Rica international to the Stadio Renzo Barbera.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport is reporting that the Palermo club patron is trying to seal a loan deal with the London-based club for the forward, who starred for his country during last year’s Brazil World Cup.

However, Campbell has struggled to convince manager Arsene Wenger that he is deserving of regular playing time at Arsenal and has spent the last four campaigns on loan with various European teams.

The forward spent the second half of last season with Villareal, and despite making 15 league appearances could only manage one goal for the La Liga side.
