Ivan Perisic’s move from Wolfsburg to Inter is close, however the deal is being held up by Xherdan Shaqiri’s proposed move to the Premier League

Inter want Perisic as part of their summer transfer plan as they look to improve on last season’s dismal eighth place finish but the deal has reached a hurdle.

According to Gazzetta Tv, the Nerazzurri are waiting for Shaqiri’s move to Stoke City to go through to free up funds which Inter would use to purchase the Wolfsburg forward.

Nerazzurri fans, however, may have to wait for the signing of Perisic as Shaqiri has seemingly rejected personal terms with Stoke, who had agreed a deal with Inter in the region of €17 million for the Swiss international.

Perisic was ever present for Die Wolfe last season making 32 appearances in all competitions.

Inter have already signed Jeison Murillo, Miranda, Martin Montoya and Geoffrey Kondogbia this summer.
