Pirlo set for major earnings at New York City FC

Ahead of Andrea Pirlo’s impending move to Major League Soccer side New York City FC, the details of the 36-year-old’s lucrative contract have been released.

The Juventus man is still yet to fully complete his transfer to the MLS but it seems that the official confirmation is forthcoming.

Tuttosport have reported that Pirlo is set to receive a one-and-a-half year contract which will guarantee him at least €8 million a year as well as the possibility of earning a €2m bonus.

The Italian international has enjoyed a highly decorated career during his 20-year spell in Italy and has played for the likes of AC Milan, Inter and Brescia.

He has won a total of six Scudetti, two Champions Leagues as well as the 2006 World Cup.
