Lazio midfielder Ravel Morrison has returned to training for the Biancocelesti following an injury scare during their 1-0 friendly defeat to Serie B side Vicenza.
Morrison has hit the ground running at Lazio having scored 4 goals in 2 matches. The injury meant that the young England international missed the club’s 3-1 defeat to Anderlecht in Brussels, as well as the 3-2 defeat to Sigma Olomouc in the Czech Republic.
Ravel Morrison’s impact on the side has been massive with Corriere dello Sport already labelling him ‘Lazio’s new Gazza’. Meanwhile, English newspaper The Daily Mail have written that he is ‘fast becoming a fans’ favourite’ at the Roman club.
With a return to training it is very that Morrison will be back for Lazio’s next friendly game against Mainz 05 on Wednesday. A game in which Lazio coach Stefano Pioli will hope Morrison can bring his side back to winning ways and continue his strong form.
