Real Madrid president Florentino Perez presented AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani with a special birthday cake after the two sides clashed on Thursday.
Galliani is celebrating his 71st birthday on the same day that the two European giants met in the International Champions Cup pre-season competition, an occasion which Real Madrid chief Perez couldn’t go without commemorating.
AC Milan’s official Twitter account labelled the gesture as a “special birthday surprise” which presumably eased the Rossoneri’s penalty shootout loss to the La Liga club.
Galliani has served as Milan’s vice-president for 29 years, a time period which has seen the famous club lift five European Cup and Champions League titles, as well as eight Serie A trophies.
