AC Milan’s bid to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to the Giuseppe Meazza could be scuppered by a potential offer from Real Madrid.

The 33-year-old has only one more year to run on his current deal at Paris Saint-Germain and the Rossoneri are working to provide the Swedish star for new coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.

However, Spanish newspaper Sport says Madrid could be the Swede’s next destination after Real president Florentino Perez turned his attention to the forward.

Perez would pay the French champions €6 million for their prized asset while offering Ibrahimovic a three-year contract worth up €12m net per season.

That would price Milan out of any deal for the former Inter and Juventus striker but Rossoneri fans can be happy that, if they do miss out on Ibra, the club have sealed deals for a brand new strike force with Carlos Bacca joining Luiz Adriano at the Giuseppe Meazza for next season.

If Ibrahimovic did move to the Spanish capital, it would be his second spell in La Liga after spending a season with Barcelona, winning the title while scoring 16 goals in 29 league appearances.
