Roma are negotiating with Atletico Madrid to sign full-back Javier Manquillo, according to reports in Spain.
The Giallorossi have already brought in one Spaniard in the form Iago Falque from Genoa and are reportedly close to bringing in another in right-back Manquillo.
Spanish paper Diario AS believe that Manquillo’s preferred move is to the Stadio Olimpico having already turned down moves to Getafe, Rayo Vallecano and Granada.
However, a deal is still not completed and details such as the inclusion of an option to buy clause for Roma have yet to be decided on.
It is believed that Atletico have no intention of losing the Spanish under-21 international permanently and could therefore insert a buy-back clause into any deal.
Manquillo spent last season on loan at Liverpool, making 16 appearances in all competitions.
