After the sale of Jose Holebas to Watford, Roma are now looking to sign a new left back.

Last summer Roma had thought they had solved their left-back problems with the signing of Ashley Cole on a free transfer from Chelsea. The Englishmen however failed to impress and with the sale of Holebas, Roma are once again in need of a new left-sided full-back for the coming season.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Roma are looking to sign either Abdul Baba from Augsburg or Arthur Masuaku from Olympiacos.

Baba is Roma’s number one target but the club are unwilling to pay the €15 million Augsburg are asking for. Moreover, the player has been linked with Chelsea and it is believed that England is his preferred destination.

Masuaku, on the other hand, is reportedly available for €8 million. A third alternative for Roma could be Achraf Lazaar of Palermo.
