According to reports in Italy, Jose Holebas will complete his move to Premier League new boys Watford on Tuesday.
Although the deal was confirmed by the two clubs last Thursday, on Saturday Holebas put the switch in jeopardy.
“They [Roma] arranged my transfer without asking me. I haven’t signed anything yet, I have to see the contract first,” he told the Greek press.
“I don’t know why this has happened, I know that both Roma and Watford announced my transfer, but they’d have to talk to my representatives first.”
However, despite the Greece international’s confusion, the deal looks set to go ahead with Sky Sports Italia saying that Holebas will sign the contract on Monday.
The left back impressed in his first season in Italy making 24 appearances in Serie A for the Giallorossi, 23 of them starts.
