Roma full-back Jose Holebas has completed his move to newly promoted Watford.

The player and club had already agreed personal terms, with Watford now reaching a deal with Roma to conclude the Greek’s transfer.

Sky Sport Italia report a €2.5 million paid to Roma for the transfer of the 30-year-old fullback. The club’s official website has also corroborated the Italian media, confirming the deal that will see Holebas move to Watford.

“Roma announce that the club have signed an agreement with Watford for the permanent transfer of the rights to Jose Holebas for a fixed fee of €2.5 million,” read the statement.

“The agreement also provides variable compensation of €500,000 if the English club reaches certain sporting objectives.”

Holebas joined Roma in 2014 from Olympiakos, making 24 league appearances for the Giallorossi last season.
