Roma have told Manchester City they will not pay any more than €20 million for forward Edin Dzeko.

The Bosnia international has found himself falling out of favour at the Etihad in recent years and has been pursued by a number of clubs this summer, including the likes of Porto and Wolfsburg, however, it is Roma who lead the chase.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Giallorossi have told the Citizens they will not pay more than €20 million, including bonuses, for the 29-year-old.

They have also given Manchester City a week to conclude the deal, otherwise they will look at alternative targets before the new season gets under way.

Dzeko has scored 50 Premier League goals in his five years at the club, picking up two league winners medals and a FA Cup winners medal in 2011.
