Roma target Iker Casillas looks close to a move to Portuguese Porto according to reports in Spain.

The Giallorossi have been looking for a replacement for ageing goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis for some time now and had identified Iker Casillas as the man to replace the Italian.

However, according to Spanish television channel TVE, Casillas is close to move to Portugal with the Dragoes. The truth of these claims is yet to be verified, so there is still hope for Giallorossi fans that Casillas may end up at the Stadio Olimpico.

Although Roma finished second in Serie A last season, the club endured an underwhelming campaign as they finished 17 points behind Scudetto winners Juventus.

As a result the capital-based club have been trying to strengthen this summer in an attempt to conjure a real title challenge this season.

Casillas, who has endured his share of criticism throughout the season, has been been looking for a new club since seemingly being pushed out the door by both the fans and club hierarchy alike.
