Roma are reportedly still looking to sell Gervinho in order to aid their pursuit of Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah.

The Ivorian international, whose current contract with the Giallorossi is set to expire in June 2018, was recently expected to complete a move to Al Jazira, though negotiations fell through at the last minute, and it seems like the capital city club may still be ready to offload him to another team in order to help fund a bid for Salah.

According to Premium Sport, the Egyptian international, who just recently finalised his messy separation from Fiorentina, may be more willing to join the Lupi due to their participation in the Champions League and is seen as Roma’s main target to strengthen the wings if Gervinho is sold.

The Chelsea man was able to find much success during his loan stint with the Viola last term, scoring six goals and providing three assists in his 16 Serie A appearances, while Gervinho scored just two goals and provided five assists in his 24 league appearances last season.
