Roma ready to increase offer for Olympiacos fullback

The Giallorossi are eager to sign a new wing-back following the departure of Jose Holebas to Watford and had previously been keen on landing Barcelona’s Adriano, however they had their bid rejected and have now turned their attentions to Masuaku.

An initial €6 million bid plus bonuses was deemed insufficient by the Greek side and now according to Sportitalia, Roma are ready to offer €9 million in a bid to see off competition from Inter.

The 21-year-old has spent a solitary season with the Piraeus based outfit but impressed as he helped the Greek giants to another league and cup double.

He previously represented Valenciennes in his native France after coming through the youth system at the club.
