Wojciech Szczesny ArsenalRoma director of football Walter Sabatini has departed for England, looking to confirm the signings of Edin Dzeko, Mohamed Salah and Wojciech Szczesny.

The three Premier League stars are all out of favour at their respective clubs and the Giallorossi are hoping to swoop, sending Sabatini out to tie up the deals. However, all three moves have hit stumbling blocks and are not as smooth as had been expected.

According to Il Corriere Della Sera, there is still a gap of around €5 million between Roma and Manchester City in the valuation of Bosnian striker Dzeko. Meanwhile, Chelsea are holding firm in negotiations over a move for Salah, making a transfer for the former Fiorentina loanee increasingly difficult.

The Giallorossi may have greater luck in acquiring Polish goalkeeper Szczesny however, despite a deal with Arsenal yet to be agreed upon.

With the signing of Petr Cech, added to David Ospina as back-up, the 25-year-old has been demoted to third choice and Roma will be hoping to complete the deal shortly.
