Roma’s sporting director Walter Sabatini has confirmed that Roma are in for Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko.
The former player was speaking to reporters at a ‘Football Fest’ event in Perugia on Friday evening when he was asked about the Bosnian international.
“Dzeko is not very close, but Roma are trying to get him” Sabatini confirmed. “He’s the right man for us, but tough to get, as he’s expensive.”
Sabatini was also asked about the future of Gervinho, after his recent move to Al Jazira fell through. “Does Gervinho want to leave? No, he changed his mind and wants to stay with us now.”
Giallorossi fans will be hoping that Sabatini continues to strengthen Rudi Garcia’s options, as they hope to improve on last season’s underwhelming second place finish.
