Sampdoria striker on the brink of completing transfer to Anderlecht

Sampdoria striker Stefano Okaka is on the brink of a transfer to Belgian Jupiler League outfit Anderlecht with the player expected to make a decision on a potential move within the next few hours.

The Italian international, who managed just four goals in 26 appearances last season, also garnered interest from English clubs Southampton, Leeds United and Newcastle United.

All three sides are set to miss out with Sky Sport Italia reporting that both the Blucerchiati and Anderlecht have already reached an agreement for the 25-year-old attacker, however, the player has been given 24 hours to decide on his future

Meanwhile, Goal.com have reported that Okaka has already said his goodbyes to Sampdoria as has been absent from training this weekend.

In addition, Gazzetta dello Sport have alleged that the club are now on the search for a new striker with Atalanta’s Germán Denis, Torino’s Rolando Bianchi and Lazio’s Sergio Floccari said to be on the club’s shortlist.
