Sampdoria’s Eder spoke regarding his injury, optimistic about the coming season and confirming that his body is responding well to treatment.

The Sampdoria forward saw his season come to an abrupt end in late April, suffering from ligament damage to his knee.

After his long injury layoff, the 28-year-old offered an update on his condition and his recovery.

“My knee is responding well,” Eder said on SampdoriaNews.net.

“We started well [last season with Sampdoria] and we are working and expecting a lot more commitment for the season to come.

“I hope to have a positive season.”

The Sampdoria striker made 31 appearances in both Serie A and the Coppa Italia, scoring 12 goals and providing four assists.

He was also one of the controversial oriundi call-ups for the Italy national team, making a scoring debut in the EURO 2016 qualifier against Bulgaria and starting in the friendly against England.
