Eder - Sampdoria v InterSampdoria will either face the Serbian side Vojvodina or Latvian outfit Spartaks Jurmula in the third qualifying round of the Europa League.

The Serbians appear to be the more likely opponent after they beat Spartaks 3-0 in their home city of Novi Sad.

The first leg is scheduled to take place on July 30 with Sampdoria the home side although they will be forced to travel to Torino’s Stadio Olimpico due to refurbishment works at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

The return leg will be held on August 6.

Legendary former Sampdoria coach and player Vujadin Boskov formerly represented his local club Vojvodina before joining the Blucerchiati in 1961 and there is a prospect of a poignant return to the Scudetto winning coach’s hometown just over a year after his death.

The 2015-16 Europa League campaign will mark Samp’s return to European competition after they last played continental football during the 2010-11 Champions League where they were eliminated by Werder Bremen in the qualifying round.
