Mario Balotelli - LiverpoolSampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has revealed his interest in signing maligned Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli.

The 24-year-old arrived at Anfield from AC Milan for €20 million last summer but has failed to knuckle down a regular first-team spot and the summer signings of Roberto Firmino, Danny Ings and Christian Benteke have only compounded the attacker’s woes as he looks destined for the exit door.

The Reds have since lowered their asking price for Balotelli, who is now reportedly valued at €10 million, however the Daily Mail reports that it could still potentially stand as an obstacle for negotiations.

“They told me that Mario was in Genoa yesterday,” Ferrero told reporters.

“He currently costs €10m, but with a discount I will wait for him with open arms.”

Last season the Italian International made only 16 appearances in Premier League, scoring one goal.

Aha! Standard Italian transfer procedure I see. When they are selling the price is sky-high. when they are buying they are seemingly teetering on the brink of bankruptcy and demand a give away price at most. They do it time after time it seems.
