Sassuolo have demanded €13 million for right-back Sime Vrsaljko, as Napoli look to swoop in.
The Croatian international has been attracted interest from numerous clubs but the Partenopei appear to be the front-runners for his signature, however, Sassuolo are determined not to let him go cheaply.
Sport Mediaset reports that Napoli have offered €9 million upfront, plus a further €2 million in add-ons, for the Croatian international but have seen their offer swiftly rejected by Sassuolo.
Sassuolo are holding out for €13 million, with the hope of reinvesting a portion of the transfer into the signing of Chievo striker Alberto Paloschi.
Having sold Simone Zaza to Juventus earlier in the summer, the Neroverdi see Paloschi as an ideal replacement but are still looking to raise the necessary funds for the former AC Milan striker.
