Sevilla and AC Milan have reached an agreement that will see the Spanish club sign defender Adil Rami from the Rossoneri.

The 29-year-old has been linked with an exit from the Milan club since the end of the season, and while the Andalusian club turned down an offer of cash and Rami for striker Carlos Bacca, it looks as though they have worked out a separate move for the Frenchman.

Sevilla’s official website have announced that Rami will join the reigning Europa League champions on a four-year contract, though no details regarding a transfer fee were revealed.

The defender took to Twitter to confirm that he will meet up with his new teammates on Monday before putting pen to paper on a contract.

“I have decided to accept a new challenge…Monday I will be in Seville for my medical. A warm embrace and we’ll talk soon,” a message on Rami’s official Twitter page read.

Rami made 44 appearances in all competitions for Milan after joining from Valencia in January 2014.
