Inter president Erick Thohir is due to fly to London this weekend as the Nerazzurri look to seal a deal for Chelsea forward Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian turned down a move to Fiorentina on Thursday, despite being offered an improved contract, after failing to meet a deadline set down by the Viola to extend his stay in Florence, and those at the Stadio Artemio Franchi are now considering legal action over the affair, after they thought the player had agreed to remain in Florence.

With Salah’s lawyer stating on Friday his client will remain in Serie A, but not with Fiorentina, Mediaset are now reporting Nerazzurri owner Thohir will travel to London on Saturday evening and will meet with representatives of the West London club to try to come to an agreement for the former Basel player.

The 23-year-old signed for the Florence club in January on-loan as part of the Juan Cuadrado deal and made 16 appearances, scoring six goals in Serie A during his short stay in Tuscany.
