Torino captain Kamil Glik’s future remains in the balance with Lyon ready to pounce for the defender.

The centre-back has been heavily linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico during the summer transfer window, but may yet stay in Turin.

TuttoMercatoWeb report that not only do the Granata’s hierarchy want to tie down the 27-year-old, the club have already opened discussions about a new deal with the player’s representatives.

Glik himself has indicated that he would like to stay with il Toro, but should the two parties not be able to come to an agreement, French side Lyon are ready to make an offer.

The former Palermo player has been with Torino for four seasons and has made more than 120 appearances for the Piedmont club, becoming captain in 2013.

Poland international Glik joined the Granata following a loan spell at Bari, where he also played under current coach Giampiero Ventura.
