allan udineseUdinese sporting director Cristiano Giaretta claims negotiations to bring Allan to Napoli are still in the early stages and the Brazilian defensive midfielder is no sure bet to leave the Zebrette.

Recent speculation reported an accord was imminent with a reported €10 million transfer fee agreed to for the 24-year old with defender Miguel Britos and striker Duvan Zapata going the other way on loan to help bolster the deal.

Giaretta, however, tapped the brakes on the prospects Allan would complete a dream Partenopei midfield trio alongside Mirko Valdifiori and Marek Hamsik in new coach Maurizio Sarri’s preferred 4-3-3 formation.

“It’s a complicated deal and there’s still a lot to work out,” Giaretta said when speaking with Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“We’ll meet next week but there are a lot of players and agents involved and that’s why I think this far from over.”

Allan has been a fixture in the Zebrette midfield since his arrival from Vasco da Gama in 2012 for €3 million, making 93 Serie A appearances over the last three campaigns.

“Allan is a cornerstone of our club and he’s not a player we will easily let go,” added Giaretta.
