Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia could be about to join former Juventus centre-back Angelo Ogbonna at West Ham United.

Ranocchia only recently signed a contract extension with Inter, however the Italy international has been linked with a move away from the Stadio Meazza, as the Nerazzurri look to create funds for new squad additions.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Hammers and Crystal Palace have both shown interest in signing the 27-year-old Italian.

West Ham have already spent big on bringing in Ogbonna from Juventus this summer, a deal that cost the club €11 million, and now look to complete an all-Italian centre-back pairing by moving for the Inter captain.

The Nerazzurri have already made four key signings this summer in Jerison Murillo, Miranda, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Martin Montoya. The Milan based club are also believed to be in negotiations for Wolfsburg’s Ivan Perisic and have been linked to Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah.

I’m a little bit confused if I’m honest. Don’t get me wrong, he must be some player if he is captain of inter, but do we really need another centre half at this present time?
Imo our priorities lie further upfield with more creativity and a proven quality goalscorer.

I also get the impression that this article is a bit of a waste of time, as it wouldn’t be the first time a so called move to or interest from an EPL club was used by the player in question for his own needs.
