Sampdoria are locked in discussions over the Blucerchiati midfielder Roberto Soriano.

No agreement has yet been reached with Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero joking earlier in the week that he valued the 24-year-old at around €25 million.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, Milan vice=president Adriano Galliani and Sampdoria’s sporting director Carlo Osti have held talks at the Grand Hotel Imperiale at Forte Dei Marmi to discuss the move.

It is said that Soriano has been personally requested by Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic as a target to improve the Rossoneri’s midfield.

Galliani may use midfielder Antonio Nocerino as a possible bargaining chip to acquire Soriano if the Milanese giants struggle to meet Sampdoria’s valuation of the player.

Otherwise it is likely that former Palermo and Parma midfielder will move to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in a separate deal.

Soriano has been a consistent performer for the Genoese club in the last couple of seasons and featured heavily in the first-team under Mihajlovic last season making 35 appearances that yielded 4 goals.
