AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has doubts that Alex Witsel and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will join the side.

The Rossoneri have had a busy summer as new coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and the rest of the club’s management attempt to regain their success of previous seasons this term, and Galliani began by talking about Philippe Mexes who has been rumoured to be leaving the club.

“He is staying here 100%, the market is closed, we don’t want to get rid of any more players,” he told Mediaset Premium.

Galliani then talked about Mario Balotelli who has returned on loan from Liverpool.

“He was very well received by his teammates, it’s timely and accurate.”

“He is the first to arrive and the last to leave training.”

The 71-year-old also commented on Alex Witsel, saying a transfer for him is unlikely to take place.

“I know the player would have wanted to join us but it is difficult for Milan to get him.”

He concluded by ruling out a move for Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic who had previously been linked with a return.

“That chapter is closed, he will stay in Paris.”
